This is a portrait tile I do on low fire white clay with under glazes. Under glazes act like paint and are necessary to create the portraits I want. I love portraits and achieving a feeling of the subject which is more important to me then photo realism. I would need a high resolution photo, or at least the best that you can send me through my contact page. These portraits take time and are not photo images I transfer on a tile and paint; I draw the image and then paint it. Because this is handmade, these images will be a little different then the photo, I am hoping to attract those of you who love portrait art and the artist's interpretation of my subject.
